اتتميز سيناء بأهمية سياسية واقتصادية، لذا اهتمت الحکومات بعد تحريرها إلى اعمارها ووضع الخطط والإستراتيجيات لتنميتها وتم إقامة بعض المشروعات و انفاق المليارات من الجنيهات إلا أن الجهود الحکومية قبل ثورة يونيو 2013 کانت ضعيفة الفعالية. وقد أولت الحکومة الحالية أيضا الاهتمام بتنميتها والسعي الي معالجة الأسباب التي أدت الي ضعف فعالية الجهود السابقة. وتستهدف هذه الدراسة تقييم الجهود الحکومية للتنمية شمال سيناء وتحديد المعوقات والتحديات التي قد تؤثر على نتائجها ، وتحديد العوامل التي تساعد علي نجاح عملية التنمية الشاملة والمستدامة بفاعلية بشمال سيناء . وانتهت الدراسة الي انه من أهم عوامل نجاح التنمية هو وجود خطط متکاملة ورؤية واضحة وشاملة.
Sinai is distinguished by its political and economic importance. Therefore, after its liberation, governments took care of its reconstruction and laying down plans and strategies for its development. Some projects were established and billions of pounds were spent, but government efforts before the June 2013 revolution were ineffective. The current government has also paid attention to its development and sought to address the reasons that led to the weakness of the effectiveness of previous efforts. This study aims at evaluating the government's efforts to develop North Sinai, identifying obstacles and challenges that may affect its results, and identifying the factors that help the effective success of the comprehensive and sustainable development process in North Sinai. The study concluded that one of the most important factors for the success of development is the existence of integrated plans and a clear and comprehensive vision for the various aspects of development
